The energy ecosystem is constantly evolving. Due to accelerated electrification and our striving towards a carbon-free society, these changes are even more rapid today and demand faster adaptation. Therefore, ELES invests even more energy and resources in searching for new solutions, enabling us to fulfil the tasks we are responsible for reliably.

The challenges being faced by TSOs are highly complex, so it is essential to establish cooperation between system operators, as well as with other players in the electricity and industrial sectors, in research institutions and in households. In Slovenia, for this purpose, ELES has formed the Consortium to Accelerate the Green Transformation of the Electricity Sector. ELES is also cooperating with international partners to create and implement numerous projects. We are searching for solutions in the areas of system operation, digitalisation, inclusion of active customers, creation of new markets, network planning, protection of critical infrastructure.

The orientation of numerous sectors towards accelerated electrification requires strengthening cross-sector cooperation. Through cooperation and joint planning, we will enable the sustainable electrification of these sectors. ELES is making important steps in this area as well.
